Super super excited!! It's been a long time coming, but…
I have noticed an increase in self condemnation of people that I talk to on a daily basis.
I was talking to a friend of mine that was having a very hard time in their life. Before we could get into the conversation good, they began to say things like “maybe I’m being punished for my past mistakes”, or “God is punishing me for the person I used to be”. At that moment, I realized that they were beating themselves up over their mistakes.
Do you know someone like this too?
It’s something that is so easy for us to do, and it makes me wonder why. Why do we continue to condemn ourselves about things we’ve gone to God and asked for forgiveness about? Even though we’ve been forgiven, we continue to hold our hands to the fire.
One thing that I've learned is this, when God forgives you he places those sins in the see of forgiveness never to be remembered. We must learn to forgive ourselves. Click To Tweet
Once we have repented our lives should bear fruit of it. Our lives take a turn for the better. I'm now walking in obedience. I'm speaking life instead of death. I'm treating others how the tells us to treat them. My sinful ways are far from me!
We must move forward and leave the past where it belongs. If we have moved forward and we still hear our past speaking to us, then you haven't moved on far enough. There's no place for your past in your future. Click To Tweet
